Diana Maliszewski is a teacher-librarian in the TDSB. She also serves as the co-VP of the Association for Media Literacy. Diana has presented at conferences all over North America on topics such as gaming in education, graphic novels, popular culture, and children’s literature.  She blogs frequently at www.aml.ca and http://mondaymollymusings.blogspot.com.

Diana Maliszewski OCT, BA, BEd, MEd (she/her) is a teacher-librarian in the Toronto District School Board in Scarborough, Ontario. This is her twenty-fifth year in teaching, with twenty-four of those years working in a school library learning commons. Diana is the one of the vice-presidents of the Association for Media Literacy. She was the editor-in-chief of The Teaching Librarian, the award-winning official publication of the Ontario School Library Association, from 2006-2018 and now is a course instructor for the Teacher Librarianship Additional Qualification courses for York University and Queen’s University. She has presented workshops at conferences all over North America on topics such as gaming in education, graphic novels, popular culture, professional learning communities, and children’s literature. Diana Maliszewski (OCT BA BEd MEd) is the teacher-librarian at Agnes Macphail Public School in the Toronto District School Board and has worked as a school library professional for over twenty years.  From 2006 - 2018, she was the editor-in-chief of The Teaching Librarian, the official publication of the Ontario School Library Association. She served as the OSLA stream conference co-planner from 2018-2020 and currently is one of the directors of the Association for Media Literacy and planners for MakerEdTO. Diana Maliszewski works at Agnes Macphail Public School in Toronto. She is the editor of The Teaching Librarian, the official magazine of the Ontario School Library Association. Diana first discovered comics when she began her Masters of Education studies with the University of Alberta and now often raves about the virtues of graphic novels on panels, in workshops and online. She was Canada’s 2008 Teacher-Librarian of the Year and attends the Toronto Comics Arts Festival regularly.
